Stress and Overwhelm

Why do we get stressed and overwhelmed?

Trying to please everyone?  We have experienced this in the past and it happens when we are trying to keep all plates spinning (metaphorically).

Trying to do too many things at the one time?
Underestimating how long it may take to finish a project?
Not saying 'No' when we really should.

All these and more can lead to anxiety, stress and overwhelm. Sometimes we need to take a step back, pause and press the reset button.

We can do this simply by taking a moment to ourselves to take a deep breath - slow the pace down.

Where did we learn that we had to do it all? and all by ourselves?

🔆We can overtime learn to appropriately delegate tasks.
🔆Let go of perfectionism when it is affecting our health and work to our highest standards instead.
🔆Reassess our priorities.
🔆Clear some clutter from our life both physically and mentally.
🔆Make space for self care and schedule in some relaxation time.
🔆Get the ideas, tasks to do etc out of our head and on to paper - clear our mind.
🔆Have a wind down period before going to bed so we get good and adequate sleep.

Try out ONE thing on the list, don't fall into the pattern of trying to implement all at once or you will just keep looping in the same pattern of taking on more things to do and not saying 'No' when you need to. If this one thing works try out something else on the list and continue with new habits until your stress and overwhelm is no longer an issue.
